‘It’s beautiful. Life. Long.’
– Anne (Emmanuelle Riva), Amour
Train to Busan (2016)
Korean zombie movie that is immensely thrilling. Truly entertaining, suspenseful and utterly unique.
Brand New Testament (2016)
A dark comedy that’s become something of a cult classic. It follows the new adventures of God, living in Brussels with his teenage daughter when he becomes targeted by her and her hacking skills.
Let The Right One In (2008)
Although the American remake had some charm, it doesn’t compare to this, the Swedish original. One of the best vampire movies, and coming-of-age movies, that has ever been made.
Amour (2012)
A good film makes you think. A great film makes you feel. A masterful film does both. Whilst reflecting on incredibly potent discussion topics it also makes your heart truly ache. Exquisite film-making.
A Man Called Ove (2015)
I am evangelical about this film. I demand that everyone watches it and becomes as enamoured with it as I am (as outlined in my review for Vulture Hound, which may have been quoted on the film’s poster…) I can’t think of any other film that has made me cry so much and laugh so hard, regularly simultaneously. Seriously, trust me and give it a watch.
